By accessing this website or registering for any event, competition, workshop, or concert organised by the India International Classical Guitar Festival (“the Festival”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
 

1. General

 

These Terms & Conditions apply to all visitors, participants, performers, audience members, and users of this website. The Festival reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
 

2. Event Programme & Schedule


The Festival reserves the right to change, reschedule, or cancel any part of the programme, including event dates, timings, venues, faculty, jury members, repertoire requirements, or participating artists without prior notice.
 

Such changes do not entitle participants or attendees to any claims against the Festival.

 

3. Rights of Admission

 

Children below the age of 8 years are not permitted to attend Festival events, including concerts, workshops, masterclasses, and competition rounds, unless explicitly stated otherwise by the Festival.
 
Please carry an identification document to the venue so that we can verify you.
The Festival reserves the right to deny entry in the interest of audience experience, performer focus, and safety. Rights of admission are reserved.

 

The Festival may refuse entry or participation to any individual who:

 

  • Does not bring an ID

  • Fails to meet eligibility requirements

  • Violates festival rules or code of conduct

  • Provides false or misleading information

  • Engages in disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour
     

4. Registration & Eligibility

  • All participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

  • Valid age verification documents are mandatory for competition participants.

  • The Festival reserves the right to reject or cancel registrations that are incomplete, incorrect, or do not meet eligibility criteria.
     

5. Competition Participation

  • Participants must adhere strictly to the competition rules, category requirements, and repertoire guidelines published on the website.

  • Category placement, selection, and progression decisions are final

  • The Festival reserves the right to disqualify participants who fail to comply with the rules.
     

6. Content Submission & Usage Rights

 

By submitting videos, photographs, recordings, or other materials, participants grant the Festival the right to:

 

  • Review and archive submissions for administrative purposes

  • Use selected content for festival-related promotion, documentation, publicity, and archival use, with appropriate credit

 

No compensation will be provided for such usage unless explicitly stated.
 

7. Intellectual Property

 

All content on this website, including text, logos, graphics, and branding, is the property of the Festival unless otherwise stated. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or commercial exploitation is prohibited.

 

Participants retain ownership of their musical works and performances, subject to the usage rights granted above.

 

8. Website Platform & Third-Party Services

  • The Festival is not responsible for technical issues, outages, or data loss caused by Wix or third-party platforms

  • External services such as YouTube or social media platforms operate under their own terms and policies

9. Limitation of Liability

 

Participation in Festival activities is voluntary. The Festival shall not be held liable for:

 

  • Personal injury, loss, or damage during events

  • Travel, accommodation, or related expenses

  • Technical issues affecting submissions or communications

  • Any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation or website use

10. Code of Conduct

 

All participants and attendees are expected to behave respectfully towards artists, faculty, staff, and fellow participants. The Festival reserves the right to take appropriate action in cases of misconduct.

 

11. Governing Law

 

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
 

12. Acceptance of Terms
